learn italian language florence
Studying a language abroad….has anybody done it?(deleted and rephrased my old question :) )?

has anybody done it?

i don’t mean people majoring in languages i mean from beginners to advanced.
i know there are sites and colleges that do this for all levels, beginner to advanced, but i want someones experiences as to whether its a good idea and generally whats it like?

also if poss roughly what are costs and such like?

want to study italian and i don’t know if should just learn from my lessons here, then go LIVE with my grandad for 6-7 months out there, MAYBE get a job in a bar (people who own it speak english as well) or perhaps look into going to one of these colleges in florence or somewhere and learning that way with a teacher who takes you out amongst other things (obv cost is a huge factor in this)

don’t know where to startlookingn and i don’t think my local council is of any help, a nudge in the right direction would be good but any info is just as welcome :)

living there for a few months and socializing with the natives is the best way to learn a new language. you can think about learning it with a teacher afterwards if you think you still need help
